Closet Makeover Part II: Meet Joe, He’s Fresh

Mar 9, 2010 by

I have recently fallen madly in love with Joe Fresh’s Spring Collection.  I have a very hard time finding clothes at reasonable prices that fit well, because I’m picky about the fit – they can’t be too tight or too loose. I suppose I’m a Goldilocks in terms of fit, it has to be jusssst right (it helps that I’m blonde).

As previously mentioned, I’m on the lookout for a new wardrobe before heading back to work in a few weeks. I was out and about with Baby H in Loblaws and came across some fantastic colourful shirts that are light weight and would accompany a pair of jeans superbly. But it can also be worn under a blazer for the office, or with some capris on the weekends. It’s like your very own $8 swiss-army-knife but in the form of a T-Shirt: it can do it all.

Another essential spring piece i found was the colourful light weight short trench, or mac coat, that is perfect for chilly spring mornings spent waiting for a bus to come. They start around $29.

The collection also has a variety of ankle-length jeans, capris, boy-blazers, dresses, tunic shirt and more in a variety of sizes and styles that suit most body types.

To complete the outfit, be sure to add a nice matching oversize tote (which I’m happily lugging around), bucket hat or scarf. You can have many colours and different looks without breaking the bank. And it’s just the sort of thing you may want if you’re looking for a closet overhaul.

It also leaves some room in the wallet for a nice pair of shoes (I won’t skimp out on those!).

Conclusion of Part II: Happy with a few items I got from Loblaws’ Joe Fresh. Affordable chic is what I’m looking for, and my closet is slowly filling up with just that.
