Good Friday? Great Friday!
The forecast says 24 C today.
This is music to my somewhat frozen ears. I can finally shed a sweater or two, contemplate summer plans and get ready for some BBQing.
That’s right, BBQ season is upon us, and I’m no better at it than I was a year and two ago. Luckily, I have a husband who knows when to say when, so I don’t overcook or undercook the meat.
This week I found myself in Canadian Tire with my hubby, him looking for man-toys and me just walking up and down the isles. On one of the perused shelves, I spotted a digital cooking thermometer by Accutemp and decided to purchase it. Seeing how I was in a summer/BBQ mood, I decided to see if I can get any better at grill-works.
We rushed home and tested it immediately. First impressions: it worked great! I was able to pre-program the thermometer to get a perfect cooking result. And I don’t need to set a timer to notify me when the food may be ready. For my BBQ hungry self, this is a genius invention.
If you’re anything like me, slightly maleducated in the art of BBQing, do yourself a favour and pick this up. Good and yummy times ahead this summer – if the weather is any indicator.
Happy a happy “Good Friday”, and a Happy Easter / Passover!
