Reflections of a New Office Mommy

For two weeks now, my husband has been taking care of Baby H.

Everyday, he tells me that Baby H is in a great mood and behaves well. They have a wonderful time together at Gymboree and Gym Tale, and Baby H seems to be learning many new things. My Husband suggests I take one Thursday off and come watch our child play in the ball pit, as it’s a sight never to be repeated again when he grows up.

Every time my husband tells me about Baby H’s little excursions, my heart melts a little bit and I’m pained to have to leave both of them every morning.

To make matters worse, I came home from work the other night and Baby H wouldn’t let me hold him. I tried to pick him up and walk around the room with him, but he screamed loudly and pushed me away.

That experience was one of the most difficult for me as a new mom. I’m hoping to never come back to my home and go through it again.
