A Grill Fit For A King
With Father’s Day just around the corner, some of my friends have been asking me what would make a good gift for the dad in their lives.
I looked around my house for some of the things my husband enjoys, and noticed the Cuisinart Griddler we received as a wedding gift
last year. It is one of the best and most used small appliances we have. It is marketed as a replacement for 4 other appliances, with a panini press, flat grill, contact grill or a griddle setting available to the users. What that basically means is, there are several grilling options we can use, but I’m not sure why anyone would get 4 separate grills to create this variety. It does come with two removable non-stick grills and griddle plates, as well as two dip treys that collect the fat from the meet, and that’s really the most important feature as far as we’re concerned.
As my Husband’s work schedule does not fall in the typical 9-5 segment, we don’t normally get to do a lot of barbecuing in the summer. But he does find the grill easy to use and creates lots of delicious meals for dinner using the appliance. It’s fast to use and is easy to clean as it’s dishwasher safe.
We didn’t really have many pancakes before using the grill, since the process was more intensive and cleanup took a long time. Now it’s just a matter of setting the griddle plates and enjoying the pancakes that come right off. It’s a great treat on the weekends for Baby H and I, and more importantly, my Husband loves being the chef in the house.
The Cuisinart Griddler can be found at any Canadian Tire, Home Outfitters or the Bay stores for $149.99, but I see it on occasion on sale for $99.99.
Happy grilling!
