The Perfect Fit
I have been looking for a new and well-fitting pair of jeans for a while now. Ever since I had my son, jeans don’t seem to fit the same way. I’ve tried on several pairs, and at some point I gave up and stuck with my early maternity pair.
When I heard that Jessica Simpson had a new line of clothing at The Bay, I was mildly curious about her merit as a “designer”. I know
she’s just lending her name to already working designers, but I figured checking out the new line wouldn’t be too bad, especially if I can find a pair of pants that remind me of former jean-wearing-self who used to listen to Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey bicker on TV.
So when we found ourselves recently in Bayshore, my Husband suggested we go in check out the clothing line and perhaps look for more jeans. He was very insistent on the skinny jeans, asking me to please please please try them on. I gave them a shot, mostly to humour him, and we both established once and for all that skinnies are just not for me.
We came across a pair of “vintage flare” jeans from the Simpson collection that looked rather nice, so I gave them a quick try and really really liked them. They were comfortable, soft, but mostly hugged my curves in all the right places. There was the issue of extra length, even though I’m 5’6 standing on wedges they still managed to drag along on the ground. Nothing that a pair of scissors can’t fix.
Whether or not she can sing or keep her private life intact, the woman knows how to lend her name properly. If you’re at the Bay and looking for some new comfortable and reasonably priced items, why not check the Jessica Simpson collection. My pair cost me $59.99, a good price for a pair of jeans.
