Cozy Nights And Little Candles

Winter is at our doorsteps here in Ottawa, with the cold nights knocking more strongly with each and every night. My remedy to the cold season is quite simple: a relaxed evening with my curled up on the couch with hot cocoa in my hand, a candle lit in the background and my family around me enjoying a movie.

For years now, I have been a loyal user of the Slatkin & Co. candles from Bath & Body Works. The line offers many aromas and scents, with my favourite being “Spiced Cider” and autumnal ones. The candles themselves are made from high concentration oils blended with vegetable wax and lead-free wicks – always a good thing. The labels normally say they last between 25 to 40 hours, but I hardly notice when one dwindles down as I have it’s replacement lined up and ready to be lit before the scent is out.

The candles are available in different sizes, randing from the small 4 oz ones to thelarge 14.5 oz. I prefer the smaller size because it gives me the ability to change up the scent every few nights or so without growing tired of the same smell.

The reason I wrote about my little night companions was partially due to the fact that my Christmas lists are now underway, and I remembered these great candles that are perfect stocking stuffers.

The small candles start around $9.50, but usually go on sale several times a year. Now would be a good time to pop by your local Bath and Body Works and stock up on some heavenly scents.
