Stonz Wear Boots – A Canadian answer to it’s own winter

Nov 15, 2010 by

When I saw the first snow flake fall a couple of weeks ago, I quickly realized how unprepared I was for winter. Baby H already has a snowsuit, hats and mitts but is lacking some decent boots.   Last year, Baby H was toted around in his car seat and mobility wasn’t an issue.  This year is a different story, with our little boy wanting to walk everywhere.

After some search and word-of-mouth info through Twitter, I looked into Stonz Wear – a Canadian based company that’s located in Vancouver.  I looked them up and was immediately interested.

We made a trip to Kiddie Kobbler and picked up a navy blue pair for Baby H. I was happy to see that there were adjustable toggles around the calf and ankle areas – which help keep the boots from coming off. It’s a concern of mine at all times as the baby seems keen on removing his hat and shoes as soon as we put them on.  The opening for the boots is wide enough to allow various sock sizes, house shoes or bare feet.

We also purchased on of Stonz’s “Linerz” for extra warmth. This “Linerz” folds over the top of the foot to help prevent snow from entering into the boot.

The company offers many styles including a Canadian collection that will show off your pride during the hard and true Canadian winters.

The boots (at Kiddie Kobbler) retail for $49.99 and the Linerz go for $19.99.

For a grand total of $70, my husband and I are happy to know the baby’s feet will be kept warm and dry through the winter when he goes off on his little stubborn walks.

  2. What a fabulous idea! Those boots are so pesky for little feet. I’ll have to check year out!

I love them. I have a lot of friends who have purchased them and they will not wear any other boot on their children.
