Energizer Night Skate Hosted By The Sens Foundation

Dec 19, 2011 by

Calling all hockey fans, on January 27th, 2012 at 7pm, the Sens Foundation will be hosting the Energizer Night Skate on the Rideau Canal.  This is where thousands of skaters wearing Energizer LED Headlights will light up the historic Rideau Canal. A 100% of funds raised by participants will support the Sens Foundation plans to construct outdoor, natural NHL sized ice rinks in priority neighbourhoods in eastern Ontario and western Quebec. These rinks will ensure our kids have a chance to play outside in a fun and safe environment, just like when we were kids.

Interested participants can register before December 23, the early bird deadline. Early bird registrants will receive a complimentary ticket to the Sens Skills Competition, December 28th at Scotiabank Place! Registration is only $20 for adults and $15 for children.

This is a fun way to spend an evening with your friends and family, so please invite them to come along.

There are some great prizes up for grabs for the participants who raise the most for the Sens Foundation, these include:

  • A meet and greet with Ottawa Senators® star Jason Spezza and a skate at Scotiabank Place! (I would LOVE this one)
  • A pair of 100 level tickets to attend the 2012 NHL All Star Skills Competition™ and NHL All- Star Game at Scotiabank Place.
  • A pair of 300 level tickets (2) to attend the 2012 NHL All Star Skills Competition™ and NHL® All- Star Game at Scotiabank Place
  • A $1,000 gift card to the Rideau Centre
  • A 2012 NHL All- Star Game Jersey autographed by one of the team members

The Foundation has put together a great video on the event and its cause, take a peak.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGJcyAnDn9g

This event is going to be a lot of fun and it helps a wonderful cause, you do not want to miss it.  See you there!
